Who is Cool Ryan?
I am just an average guy from Dayton, OH. I have a passion for programming and I love creating new things every day. I love sharing and contributing. That is why I love open source so much. It gives me a chance to showcase my work, give back to communities, and improve things on the web.
Mission
Things are too hard. That is why I have made it my mission to make things as easy as possible to do when it comes to my software. I want it to be brain-dead easy to use right out of the box. I don’t want people to have to read dry, boring user manuals just to figure out how to turn on the light switch, (figuratively speaking of course).
Vision
My job will no longer be needed and I can rest when my grandmother can figure out how to start up a website and use it’s features without being told how to do it. Is that a long way off? Yes. Is it obtainable? I think so.
Values
It is never worth exchanging trust for money. That is why I will never do any sneaky or underhanded tactics in order to make money with my software. I won’t even put a “powered by” link in my software unless the user allows it. There is nothing harder to gain and nothing easier to lose than trust.
Philosophy
This is classified as the “Bill of Rights” of my software. These are the golden rules that should never be compromised in any way. Whenever a feature is considered or a decision needs to be made, it will have to run through these tests to make sure it gets approved.
Ease of Use
A person can begin using this software with minimal knowledge of how the software works. No special tutorials or guidance should be needed. No setup or configuration should be needed either. There should be no technical knowledge necessary to use the software.
Backward Compatibility
Just because I am on the cutting edge doesn’t mean everyone else it. It needs to cater to people’s needs regardless of what software they run. Full compatibility with PHP, MySQL, WordPress, and cross browser compatible.
Unlimited Flexibility
No dependencies. No restrictions on use. Software will be made in such a way that will not “pidgeon-hole” a user into a specific way of using it. It will be infinitely flexible.
No Restrictions
Full open source code. Full documentation. No Warranty, but no restrictions on editing, redistributing, or otherwise using the code.
Thorough Documentation
Documentation and videos describing every feature and how to use the software to it’s fullest extent.
Best Built Software
Clean code. Best practices in software development. Thorough testing. Stable builds. Secure software. The kind of software that is impressive to show off and others use to learn from.

Hey Ryan,
Just wanted to say thanks for the awesome plugin (Easy Popups). I first noticed your site on Warriors War Room from one of your threads where you gave away a squeeze page theme for WordPress. That theme was awesome too =)
David.
Thanks for the good words David! I am glad you liked it! I will always keep them coming.
